Oh… What exactly are pantry staples anyway? Well, let’s look at what is in your Mother’s pantry, or in my pantry. I have the fallowing:
10 lbs White Flour
10 lbs Whole Wheat Flour
5 lbs Instant Milk
5 lbs Granulated Sugar
3 lbs Powdered Sugar
3 lbs Brown Sugar
3 lbs can Honey
3 lbs can Shortening
3 lbs Coffee
1 lb Salt
2 lbs Pinto Beans
2 lbs Kinney Beans
1 lb Black Beans
1 lb White Beans
1 lb Black Eye Peas
1 lb Split Peas
1 lb Lentils
5 lbs Long Grain Rice
3 lbs Spaghetti
2 lbs Elbow Macaroni
and about ½ gallon Apple Cider Vinegar
I can make a pot of soup, rolls and cookies with coffee at any time. Though it might be nice to add some meat, and/or fresh vegetable, a yeast packet for the rolls, some butter for the cookies and creamer for the coffee.
